BEHIND THE LENS

 

Heidi is from a small town in New Jersey called Waterford Works. She grew up with two parents who enjoyed listening to music all day from morning to night. Genres varied but Heidi mostly listened to Madonna, Michael Jackson, UB40, Billy Joel, Beatles, Mariah Carey, and many more! The artist that struck Heidi the most was Jewel. She fell in love with her voice, her writing strategies, and well, everything else!  "At the age of 2, Heidi was already the star of  the show. She always had a toy in her hand to use as a microphone so she could sing around the house or her favorite place to go...the picnic bench out on our deck" says Heidi's dad, Lee Guldin. "When she was in 3rd grade, thats when Heidi started to write her own poetry and would make her own melodies to whatever she wrote!"

 

As the years went on, Heidi was still persuing her love for music and as she grew older, she was constantly being stopped on the streets or at work to be asked if she was a model. Since her love for music was so strong, Heidi never thought twice about getting in front of the camera until around the age of 17. She started off having her family take photos during vacations or simply around the house until one day, she posted a photo online and had someone contact her about being featured in a local calander. From there, everything stemmed and Heidi wound up being in 5 other calanders (one being a Varga Girl for Philadelphia's Varga Bar on Spruce Street) along with being featured in a music video, interviewed on radio 107.1, and placed in well-known blogs. Heidi has also worked with South Jersey Magazine, Fox News, Virgin Mobile, and The Voice.
